I have a few questions about the opening lines of your Bible.

What do you want to know?
It says that in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
How can that be the beginning?
I don't understand your question. That is the beginning. The Bible says so. It's pretty obvious.
It can't be true. It makes no sense.
It is true. The Bible says it is true. Now, what’s your next question?
Wait a minute. I'm not done with this question. How can God doing something be the beginning? If God created the heavens and earth, then where did God come from?
Come from? What do you mean by that?
You heard me. This first statement in the Bible claims to start at the beginning, but God was already there. So, how did God get there What is God's backstory?
I don't get it. What is a backstory?
A backstory is an explanation of how a character became the way they are. God's backstory would tell us what God was doing before creating the heavens and earth. I want to know this: What happened in God's past that motivated his decision to create the heavens Why that way instead of starting with popsicles and buttercups? How long was God around for before he became a creator? Did he have any hobbies during that time?
I don't know, and I don't think these questions are important. God has made sure that I know everything that is important and I don't know the answers to your questions . Therefore, they must not be important. Why don't you try asking another question? You could ask me whether God is great, for example. I know the answer to that, because that's an important question. The answer is that, yes, God is great.
