This podcast is an outgrowth of The Demonic Bible, a new written version of the Christian Bible in which the original scripture is interrupted by a demon, Rogatio, who has questions about the text.

Fides Certum, an angel, attempts to answer the demon’s questions. The conversation quickly departs from anything Fides has ever encountered before. Rogatio asks questions that are not typically heard among the heavenly host.

In short, this is not the Bible that you grew up learning about in church. It’s more scandalous and flawed. It doesn’t have tight little hospital corners to its interpretation. It’s more real, more human.

My name is F.G. Fitzer. I wrote The Demonic Bible, or as I should say, I am writing The Demonic Bible. The Christian Bible is a big book, with a lot of territory to cover. Right now, the first book of the Demonic Bible is complete, including the entire Book of Genesis and developing it through diabolical conversation.

In future episodes of this podcast, you will meet the demon Rogatio and the angel Fides, and hear them struggle through the ancient text of the Bible, and discuss its application in contemporary Christianity and Christian Nationalist politics.

The podcast will cover some of the territory of the Demonic Bible itself, but it’s far from an audiobook. Perhaps that will come in time, but as you’ll soon hear, the voices of Rogatio and Fides are not easily restrained.
